I have sewn and made textile articles since I was a small child, but it was after City and Guild’s Patchwork and Quilting with Barbara Weeks, and City and Guild’s Embroidery with  Val Aitken that really focussed my mind on what I wanted to do.

At the moment, I am using an embellisher to create a fabric with wool, silk and other materials onto a base of calico.  On to this base fabric, I add stitch, mostly by hand to create the effect I want.
